Really lovely restaurant. we visited for father's day, the food was delicious and they also catered for our 10 year old. highly recommend.
After looking through all the reviews, I do not intend to try, but since I have coffee with friends at Sydenham they talked about nice Vietnamese soups at GAO restaurant, I give it a try last weekend. And this shop is now one of my fav place to hanging out, I tried spicy lotus salad special Bahn mi ice coffee, so tasty that I have to order 1 more Bahn mi to bring home for my partner to try & she also loved it. Don’t know why it had few negative reviews about slow service but it’s normal when busy day, No service charge here so you guys cannot expect like 5-star resto with 10-12.5% service charge. Just support small family business! I just hope this Viet shop survives so I can have mouth watering food every week.
Banh Mi Special was so delicious
Had a banh mi which was really tasty and generously filled. Prices are reasonable. Staff were lovely and kind. I am moving to the area soon and will definitely be coming back many more times!
We come here regularly and love the place. Duck pho is one of the best in London, followed by delicious spring rolls with peanut sauce. Would definitely recommend.
Perfect lunch spot. Food was flavoursome and delicious. Food was fresh and prepared in a timely manner. Thank-you Gao house, super yummy!
very happy to find out another Vietnamese restaurant in the area. We tried Grilled chicken banh mi which is one of the best banh mi I’ve ever got in London. Bun bo Hue with duck has become my favourite now. If you are Vietnamese, I believe you”ll find it very weird to have a Bun Bo Hue with duck, but please give it a try. The roasted duck really goes well with the spicy broth that I was convinced by the waitress.
Delicious food and drinks, both reasonably priced. Amazing, friendly staff and a really chill atmosphere. I will definitely be coming back to make my way through as much of the menu as I can!
